All Serling Silver tarnishes. When Sterling Silver is exposed to air (especially humid air), a chemical reaction occurs that creates a dingy, shadowy-looking appearance. The dingy shadowy stuff forms when tiny traces of sulfur in the air react with the silver.
In order to remove the dingy shadows, another type of chemical reaction is required to bring the Sterling Silver back to its original gleaming luster.
